On the afternoon of July 14, the Summer China Visit Study Program of “Culture, Society and Public Health” of International Education College of Nanjing Medical University paid a visit to Nanjing Maternal and Child Health Hospital. As a visit study program for short-term medical students from overseas launched by International Education College of Nanjing Medical University in 2015, this program aims at providing overseas medical college students with an opportunity of short-term visit study in China, promoting the internationalization of school education and development of affiliated hospitals. So far, two sessions of this visit study program have been launched (the first session was launched in the summer of 2015).

       As an important station of a specialized hospital,the hospital office was well organized and coordinated this visit.Accompanied by special personnel, 24 students who come from Queensland University of Technology、Creighton University and University of Gothenburg visited  T.C.M. Department、 Obstetrics  Inpatient Department、 Department of Pediatrics (Breast Milk Bank)、Baby Swimming Center、Deptartment of Child Health Care、Obstetrics Outpatient Department、Medicine Research Center and Prenatal Diagnosis Center.

This visit study program not only helps international students of medical colleges to gain a practical contact and understanding of the development and construction of the specialized hospitals of gynecology and obstetrics in China, but also coincides with the macro-orientation of internationalized development of our college, intensifies college-university communication, establishes the overseas exchange platform of the hospital with the help of the mature internationalized teaching platform of our university, erects brand image, expands development space, and boosts the internationalized process of hospital development.
